DirectViz Solutions, LLC, a recognized government services Information Technology (IT) leader, announced today that it has been awarded the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Mission Information Technology Services (NMITS) federal government Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract.

NMITS provides coverage for Information Technology (IT) systems modernization to support system design, development, fielding, and sustainment of global NOAA IT needs. The NMITS contract is a $2.1 Billion small business set-aside contract with a five (5)-year base period and a five (5)-year option period. DirectViz Solutions, LLC, a recognized government services Information Technology (IT) leader, announced today that CEO Mike McHugh appointed Joseph Bergin as DirectViz Solutions' Vice President of Growth. In this role, Mr. Bergin, in collaboration with DirectViz Solutions business unit executives, will lead the company's overall growth. He will report directly to CEO Mike McHugh.

Mr. Bergin brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in Civilian and Defense IT. DirectViz Solutions will leverage his operations, organization development, and growth background, supporting a broad array of customers, technologies, and services to advance the company's new business and expansion objectives.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bergin has focused on the modernization and transformation of client organizations through emerging technologies, emphasizing how technology can enhance an organization's mission capabilities.

Before joining DirectViz Solutions, Mr. Bergin held senior positions at Digital Management, LLC, Microsoft, Harris Corporation, and Electronic Data Systems. He received a Bachelor's degree from Salisbury State University.

CEO Mike McHugh announced the appointment of Shawn Williams as General Counsel for DirectViz Solutions, LLC (DirectViz Solutions). Mr. Williams will oversee all legal and contracts related areas of the business, ensuring DirectViz Solutions follows federal acquisition regulations and developing industry best legal practices to ensure corporate compliance.

With comprehensive experience of over 20 years in the legal field, Mr. Williams is a seasoned professional business attorney. He specializes in integrating best legal practices seamlessly into the business model. Under his leadership umbrella, DirectViz Solutions will continue building strong legal values.

Before joining DirectViz Solutions, Mr. Williams was the General Counsel at Alliance and has served in legal and contractual leadership roles with Raytheon and Sprint. His leadership guidance has helped organizations maintain a high level of organizational ethics by solving complex legal and contracts issues.

Mr. Williams holds a Baccalaureate in Science, Master of Business Administration in Finance, and Juris Doctorate. He is a member of the Virginia and Maryland State Bar Associations, Association for Corporate Counsel, and National Contract Management Association. He started his career as an active-duty United States Marine.

CEO Mike McHugh appointed Hanh McLellen as the Chief Financial Officer of DirectViz Solutions, LLC. Ms. McLellen will oversee the Finance and Accounting Departments.

Carrying a rich experience of over 30 years in the financial sector, Ms. McLellen will lend her experience in managing day-to-day accounting operations, banking activities, and overall company finances. She will also supervise the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and other annual audits. Further, she will be instrumental in offering financial-related support and insights to different business verticals. She specializes in financial modelling for organizational growth and development, which will be a great value add to DirectViz Solutions.

Ms. McLellen started her career at DynCorp in McLean, VA, working in financial management. Before joining DirectViz Solutions, she worked for Universal Consulting Services in Fairfax as the Vice President of Finance. She holds expertise in DCAA compliance, the Deltek system, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. In addition, she has special knowledge of the government defense and technology sector. Ms. McLellen holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Menbere Haile was invited to our corporate office and was surprised with a room full of co-workers who honored him for being DirectViz Solutions’ longest standing employee.

Menbere is a Systems Administrator and began work with us in April 2013. With 8 years of service, Menbere has weathered both the sunshine and the rain as DirectViz Solutions has grown over the years. When asked what he found most memorable after so many years, Menbere expressed his appreciation of DirectViz Solutions’ flexibility in accommodating both his personal and professional needs during his tenure.

DirectViz Solutions has been awarded the Highly Adaptive Cybersecurity Services (HACS) Special Item Number (SIN) under the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 70 Information Technology (IT) contract.

GSA developed IT Schedule 70’s HACS SIN 132-45 in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to make it easier for agencies to procure quality cybersecurity services. HACS provide agencies quicker access to key support services from technically evaluated vendors that expand agencies’ capacity to test their high-priority IT systems, rapidly address potential vulnerabilities, and stop adversaries before they impact U.S. government networks.

DirectViz Solutions has been approved for all five (5) subcategories under the HACS SIN, including: High Value Asset Assessments, Risk and Vulnerability Assessment, Cyber Hunt, Incident Response, and Penetration Testing.

DirectViz Solutions was awarded the DIA Site III IDIQ. The Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III) is DIA's third consecutive Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to address the evolving information technology (IT) requirements vital to the security of the United States.

The 10-year SITE III IDIQ provides a centralized and synchronized IT acquisition capability to meet worldwide security requirements and technical support services through system design, development, fielding, and sustainment of global intelligence and Command and Control assets.

SITE III facilitates worldwide coverage for integrated IT intelligence requirements and technical support services to the DIA and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). SITE III also supports business process reengineering and development, performance measures and metrics, feasibility studies, IT systems architecture development and planning, research, design, engineering and development of systems, and fielding and installation of systems with capabilities developed during the design and engineering phase.

DirectViz Solutions supports the mission of the Army Futures Command (AFC), The Research and Analysis Center (TRAC) at Fort Leavenworth to conduct studies supporting AFC and Department of Army decision makers. TRAC conducts literature searches, modeling and simulation, data development, database support, experimentation, scenario development, and force analysis using sophisticated computer applications and tools, both internally developed and/or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications.

As part of his support to DirectViz Solutions’s growth team, he will help grow our existing customers and realize new opportunities and capabilities. Mr. Palhano success will drive growth of our innovative solutions and make an impact on the broader strategic goals for DirectViz Solutions. His new role supports DirectViz Solutions’ transition from a small business into a large systems integrator.

Mr. Palhano will lead DirectViz Solutions’ Center of Excellence, technical strategy, and solutioning for strategic bids with his new team of solution architects and technical specialists. He will focus on building on DirectViz Solutions’ solid technical foundation by maturing their solutions strategy and discipline, identifying and leveraging emerging technologies, increasing technical corporate reach back capabilities, and fostering greater technical collaboration across programs to provide even greater value to our customers.

Coming from CACI, Mr. Palhano most recently served as a principal Systems and Solutions architect for the BITS solution group. He has significant experience in proposal development, overall solutions architecture, and technical thought leadership and strategy, having worked and lead solutioning for contract bids exceeding $750 million in total contract value and multiple internal research and development projects to expand CACI’s repeatable solution set. In prior roles he focused on technology implementation and architecture, leading teams on technology migration, modernization, and innovation projects. His experience with both larger, more structured and smaller, more agile businesses provides a unique skillset tailored to successfully transition DirectViz Solutions as it graduates from its small business status.

Mr. Vinnie Tran, president and chairman of the Board of Directors for DirectViz Solutions, made the announcement on Friday that Mr. Michael McHugh, formerly the company’s chief operating officer, has now been appointed DirectViz Solutions’ new CEO, effective immediately.

“I looked for the type of leadership we would need for our next phase of growth – bringing both experience and focus to the company,” said Tran. “So, today, I am very excited to announce that Mr. Michael McHugh will be filling this critical role as DirectViz Solutions’ new chief executive officer as we move to the next level,” he added.

Mr. McHugh has more than 25 years of experience in customer-centric technology companies. His record and influence over the company’s growth was demonstrated over his first year with DirectViz, as he led DirectViz Solutions to make major improvements in its customer satisfaction scores and he helped generate a growth rate of 100 percent during his first year.

Mr. McHugh’s extensive experience will now help DirectViz maintain a strong growth rate trajectory as the company transitions from the small business program into the challenging new landscape of larger business in the federal sector.

Prior to his tenure with DirectViz Solutions, Mr. McHugh served as president of Defense and the National Security Division for Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) for more than a decade. He also was the senior vice president of Butler Technology Solutions from Apr. 1998 to Feb. 2003 and became the vice president of BAE Systems’ Defense Group from Nov. 2004 through July 2007.

In addition, Mr. McHugh was senior vice president of Butler International between Jan. 2008 and Mar. 2009 as well as president of MercuryZ from Mar. 2009 until he joined DMI in Jan. 2010.

DirectViz Solutions subcontractor to GDIT, was awarded a five-year contract to provide support Mission Training Complexes and exercises for units stationed in and supported by USARPAC. DirectViz Solutions was awarded a five year contract to provide high quality information technology engineering, development, integration, deployment, and system sustainment services supporting the Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS).
The iPERMS Army program supports the DoD strategy for the use of net-centric automated information systems by providing an automated method of maintaining the Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) for Active Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard Soldiers.
iPERMS is the system of record and storage for the OMPF during the Soldier’s active service and is the Records Management Application (RMA) for future systems, supporting over 200 million OMPF documents currently and over 7.1M Army soldier records.

DirectViz Solutions was awarded a prime contract to support the Naval Personnel Command/Navy Pay and Personnel Support Center (NPPSC) in San Diego, CA with support of the Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS).
This five year effort provides on-site program management and database management support of the critical TOPS Naval application.
Since original implementation, the TOPS application has reduced the personal and pay information theft of Navy personnel transaction data by 75%.

This five year effort provides on-site support and maintenance of Tier 1 & Tier 2 operations to ensure functionality of the United States Naval Academy (USNA) Information Technology Service Division (ITSD) for the Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS).
Our IT support on this effort will support over 400 local NAPS clients with the full range of IT Client Services, to include IT hardware/software installation, maintenance, repair, documentation, recordkeeping, and inventory tasks.
