John Epperly
Chief Executive officer
John Epperly is the Chief Executive Officer of DVS, bringing more than 35 years of leadership experience in both public and private sectors. Prior to his appointment, John served as Chief Operating Officer at DVS, overseeing client delivery operations, corporate services, and financial performance. His leadership contributed to disciplined execution and growth across complex government and commercial programs.
Before joining DVS, John held senior leadership roles across multiple government and commercial organizations, including Booz Allen Hamilton, MCI Telecommunications, Elbit Systems of America, DMI, Coalfire, and Audley Consulting Group. Throughout his career, he has led cross-functional teams and delivered strategic solutions in technology services, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and management consulting.
John also served for more than 36 years in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard as an Armor and Infantry officer, rising to the rank of Major General and commanding large formations, including the 29th Infantry Division. His military leadership includes multiple operational combat deployments and senior advisory roles at National Guard Bureau and to the Secretary of the Army, reflecting deep experience in organizational leadership, operational planning, and mission execution.
He holds a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MBA in Finance from Drexel University, and an MS in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. John is also a National Security Fellow at The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He is also a credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
